Paleovolcanism - the source of the substance, which was composed of the upper mantle of the Earth at the time of eruption. Paleovolcanology studies restore the geodynamical situation that existed at the time of eruption. This study helps to identify the paleo-ridges belts, the zones of the paleo-spreading, the paleo-transform faults.
